Nambé Lark, with its graceful, skyward-reaching form, was named for a playful and energetic character. The award’s namesake songbird is known for its duality – a ground-dwelling, flight-capable species. Nambé Lark finds similar duality in being both grounded and uplifting. The central, metal form is made up of two extruded ‘arms’ that narrow and twist as they rise upward from the base. Their curving planes and sharp creases create an organic, yet distinctly modern, effect. The twisting surfaces of the larger arm come to life with a mirrored finish, achieved through advanced electroplating and hand-polishing. On this version, the smaller arm is finished in a high-end matte black finish. Finally, the form is mounted on a sloped, geometric base, crafted from subtly-veined, black marble. Each Nambé Lark is individually-numbered as part of a limited release and arrives in custom silver gift packaging, exclusive to the Nambé + Society Awards collection.
