The 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards ceremony took place at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Florida, on Thursday, September 23rd. The awards show featured performances and premieres by Daddy Yankee, Rosalía, Rauw Alejandro, Natti Natasha, Carlos Vives, Myke Towers, Jhay Cortez and Nicky Jam, among others. Notable winners included BadBunny who took home 10 awards, including the all-important artist of the year award; Jhay Crotez won 3 awards and the Black Eyed Peas, whose hit "Ritmo (Bad Boys for Life)" with J Balvin won sales song of the year, while their "Mamacita" with Ozuna and J. Rey Soul won Latin pop song of the year.

 

The Billboard Latin Music Awards, presented in 56 categories, honor the most popular albums, songs, and performers in Latin music as determined by Billboard's renowned weekly charts, from the rankings dated Feb. 1, 2020, to this year's charts dated Aug. 7, 2021, a longer period than usual due to the pandemic.
