The Specialty Food Association’s sofi™ Awards have been celebrating innovation and amazing taste in the culinary arts since 1972. Society Awards is honored to be able to create a custom award just for them.
Competition is Hot in the Kitchen
Since 1972, these awards have celebrated culinary innovation, craftsmanship, and outstanding flavor profiles across a wide range of food and beverage categories. Winning a Sofi is a mark of excellence and can significantly elevate a brand’s visibility and credibility in the marketplace.
The distinguished program selects its honorees by conducting blind tastings of both food and beverages. Starting in 2025, entrants can submit to 25 various categories, ranging from alcoholic to non-alcoholic beverages, and cheese to meats. This is a scale down from previous years to enhance the flavor levels of competition in each category. The entrants are assessed on their texture, flavor, appearance, ingredient quality, aroma and innovation.
Food is Served with a Golden Chef Trophy
The iconic award is a custom metal trophy in the shape of a chef. With its poised stance and upward-reaching gesture, the award symbolizes aspiration, excellence, and achievement in the specialty food world. Like the award itself, the design reflects care, attention to detail, and the artistry behind the products it honors. Society Awards is honored to work with The Specialty Food Association.
