2021 Billboard Music Awards

Billboard Music Awards 2021

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards ceremony took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday May 23rd. The iconic awards show was hosted by Nick Jonas this year. Notable winners included The Weeknd—who took home 10 awards, including Top Artist; the late artist Pop Smoke won five awards, including Top New Artist; and BTS and Bad Bunny who each earned four. Drake took home the biggest award of the night: Artist of the Decade.

The Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) started in 1990 and celebrate the chart-topping music and artists of the year. Unique among music awards shows, honorees are selected by performance on the Billboard Charts. The awards are based on a 12-month reporting period, determined by the same metrics as the weekly Billboard charts: record sales, track sales, online streams, radio airplay, and social engagement.

Society Awards is honored to partner with Billboard and to craft this iconic trophy. Our deepest congratulations to all the winners!
