Clark – Production Specialist

Tell us a bit about yourself- what got you into the award manufacturing business?

I was looking at my Facebook list, seeing what my buddies were posting, and Rick Long had posted that he had a job that he loved going to every single day. I would love to get up and go to work happy every day, who wouldn’t?! And that was where my life changed and I came here. So, I took the leap, and the rest is history!”

Three words to describe your average workday.

“Assemble, execute, innovate.”

Is there a philosophy at SA that you work by?

“I’m a firm believer in quality over quantity. Speed counts, but speed comes with time.”

 

Ben – Production Supervisor

What are the top three things on your to-do list each day?

Top three things are to start strong, stay strong, and finish strong.

How many ways can one personalize an award?

Oh gosh. Let’s see, lasering, sandblasting, printing, engraving (are the main ones). There’s about 5 different ways, but I know as soon as they start coming up with new ways David will pursue it!”

Three words to describe your average workday.

Constant communicating, thinking, and running!

Is there a philosophy at SA that you work by?

Just come in prepared for anything, and never, ever, miss an event.

Do you have any advice for someone interested in this field?

You have to be able to have great communication, for sure. If they do get into this work field I would tell them ‘congratulations’ because there’s plenty of work to do, and they’re not going to run short. You’ll have a job!”

“Check and answer emails, prioritize tasks for the day, find ways to ensure smooth operations.”

Three words to describe your average workday.
“Organize, prioritize, create”

Is there a philosophy at SA that you work by?

“Quality before quantity.”

Tell us a bit about yourself- what got you into the award manufacturing business?

“I really love working with my hands; you can really work with your hands here and take pride in your work.”

Do you have any advice for someone interested in this field?

“Take pride in your work. Take time with your work to make quality products. We are awarding excellence, so our work ought to be excellent itself.”

What are the top three things on your to-do list each day?

Receiving, shipping, and taking care of any production.”

“Learning, creating, energizing”

Is there a philosophy at SA that you work by?
“Quality above all.”

Tell us a bit about yourself- what got you into the award manufacturing business?

“My co-worker, Rick, introduced me to the industry. I worked in the aircraft industry before this, – Dell computers and an aerospace company–now I do this. Very different.”

Do you have any advice for someone interested in this field?

“I would go to school and take a few computer design classes; learning the software that is used to design the awards.”
