Simple, yet elegant. Not to mention heavy. The USA Track & Field (USATF) Wing Award is an impressive piece of custom recognition. The alluring, 24k gold-plated pewter form is an extruded representation of the brand’s unique winged-star logo.
Known in previous years as the Golden Spike Tour and Visa Championship Series, the USATF Championship Series began in 2013. USATF is the national governing body for track & field, long-distance running and race walking in the United States.
In a collaborative effort, we teamed up with USATF to create a custom award based on their remarkable logo. They presented us with a detailed concept sketch, which we then made into a 3D rendering to enrich the model, thus bringing it to life.
In December we were able to witness the trophy being awarded to those extraordinary athletes at the indoor 5,000 meter Race Walk Championships.
