The historical Artemis II mission took place from April 1st to April 11th and marked the first crewed mission beyond low Earth orbit since Apollo 17 back in 1972. In the realm of firsts, it was also the first crewed flight of the Artemis Program and the Orion spacecraft, named Integrity by the four-person crew.
To commemorate the successful launch and return to the Moon after fifty years, Society Awards was commissioned by Administrator Jared Isaacman to craft the aptly named Artemis II Golden Moon trophy. Here’s how we did it.
A Collaboration between Space Science and Quality Design
The Artemis II Golden Moon trophy is an example of when Science and Design come together to make a gorgeous piece of art. This celestial body has been scaled down to a 5” in diameter model of high-grade aluminum and finished with gold electroplating, and rests attached inside of black metal dish suspended on a polished black base.
Using high resolution imagery of the surface, Society Awards was able to replicate the craters, ridges, and contour of the moon into our custom trophy model. After our craftsman's hand-polished the design, it was safely stored into a custom padded air case, offering unparalleled protection and presentation.

An Award Worthy of a White House Presentation
On April 29th, 2026, Administrator Isaacman, along with the crew of the Integrity, gifted the Artemis II Gold Moon to President Trump and the White House as formal recognition of the mission's historic success. The trophy has since been seen prominently displayed in the Oval Office.
Manufacturing the Best in Space Recognition
The Artemis II Golden Moon trophy is the latest chapter in our long-standing relationship with the Space Industry. Society Awards isn’t shy about reaching for the stars with our clients and our designs. Over the years, Society Awards has been proud to partner with pioneering organizations pushing the boundaries of human exploration and aerospace innovation, including NASA, Boeing, GE, the United States Space Force, Axiom Space, SpaceX, and the Explorer’s Club.
Each partnership has presented its own unique creative challenge, and each has been met with the same commitment to precision, permanence, and design excellence that defines every piece Society Awards produces. When the mission is historic, the recognition should be too.
